OK, let’s be a little more specific - the creation of a viable new human life.
A clone isn’t a fertilization in the normal sense, but it is a birth. Just to be clearer, at this point, clones of other mammals requires the same gestation in a female’s womb as non-clones, the only difference is in the nuclei of the gametes. The result of the existence of the clone will have real world consequences, just as the birth of a non-clone human.
OK. I get what you’re saying. I don’t see a reason to clone a person. If you need a heart valve, we can do that.
