Hey, I wanted to ask you about something; you said the other day that only a small minority of Haredim are not Zionist, but it was my impression that most of the major groups of Haredim were anti-Zionist, at least to the extent of being against Israel’s existence as a secular state, rather than an explicitly religious one. Can you explicate any more on the subject?

Yes, I should have explained that. The majority of Haredim do not recognize Israel as the fulfillment of ischalta d’geula (the promised Third Commonwealth), what this means in practical terms is that these Haredi parties (Shas, UTJ) do not oppose negotiations in which Israel might be required to surrender some territory in the context of a lasting peace treaty. The religious-Zionist parties oppose giving away ANY PART of “promised Biblical Israel” for any reason.
