Actually, Johnson County Sheriff’s Dept. The WPD probably got on the horn to KS Highway Patrol, who spread the news to all the LEAs in the state, then as soon as they had a confirmed sighting on I-35, JCSD would have been all over it, and it would have been a crapshoot whether they or a KHP trooper got him first.

I’ve driven past where they nabbed him like a kajillion times. It’s kinda creepy when I see something in the news in a place I know so well.
