So in other words, everyone needs to be married or they’re doing it wrong. Am I reading this correctly? I don’t want to be arguing a strawman, but I find it hard to believe what I’m reading.

Does the concept of “social norm” carry any meaning for you? Certain things are considered normal and desirable by any society. Others are not. We have few norms left but I guess walking naked down the street is still considered undesirable, as is pedophilia.

Western society has very few family-related norms left, it seems, as compared to more conservative societies. Westerners marry less, have less children, and their societies gradually get older. Muslim societies, by comparison, are young and aggressive, and they procreate. Does any of this make you think maybe there is a problem?
