Sorry, but if I’m seeing the clear TD, I’m taking it - and then trusting in my defense to make the stop and seal the win. Belechik overthought that whole thing. Make the Giants beat him with a field goal (you have the lead after all that that point), but give the easy TD?

Also, consider that if the Giants wanted to run down the clock even more, they could have called a sweep right or left, but instead ran it up the middle. They wanted the score (and to keep the FG option going well, with a straight shot instead of on the hash side). Defense wants to give me a free TD? In the Super Bowl? I’m taking it.
