It’s just frustrating because Israel by doing this really does isolate itself and feeds Anti-Israel propaganda. I understand Bibi thinks he’s protecting his country by doing this but he’s being reckless.

Bibi is protecting Bibi, that’s really what these moves are about. He doesn’t pursue peace because the settlers don’t want to give up their land, the companies building those settlements don’t want to lose the revenue, and their political allies don’t want to lose power. And in promoting these forces, Bibi is putting Israel into the same sort of situation that South Africa once existed in, a pariah state that is reliant on us for its continued existence. Which only furthers the aim of nations like Russia, who wish to portray us as a nation of hypocrites who make a lot of noise about “freedom” and “liberty” as we support dictators and autocrats.
