it makes me happy to watch a dog happily rolling in the grass

Yesterday I was in the backyard playing with my two year old Goddaughter. After bouncing around on the trampoline, we got off and she ran back towards the house.

As I was watching her run, I realized that before long she wouldn’t be this small anymore and I’d be at her graduation, wedding, baby shower, etc. still fondly remembering how carefree she looked running across the grass when she was two years old.

I really can’t put into words how much joy this girl brings me. She’s one of the best things (along with my wife) that I’ve got going right now.
