It’s excuse-making, more of the “it’s not the message, it’s the presentation” whining. That if they just stay the course and ignore the charges of racism, then they can win over Latino and black voters because their ideas are “better” for them.

EXACTLY.

Jonah is clearly suffering from the same delusion that the rest of the GOP has, where the problem with their message is that it’s being misinterpreted. Uh, no. People are hearing it loud and clear, and the shifting demographics of this country aren’t buying it.

Of course, if the GOP ever decided to be a reasonable, rational, center-right party, they’d just be the Democrats. At this point, the GOP might as well take Jonah literally and let their far-right freak flag fly.
