Can you give an example of Obama abandoning an actual responsibility of the president?

I think we have a communication error and I can see why. My first post concerning this issue was a bit vague. My intent was to say that I am disappointed in his lack of leadership and he abdicated his responsibility of leading his party in favor of letting Pelosi and Reid run the show. I’m not trying to say he adbicated his responsibility as President, only that he has failed to show real leadership and to me, that is sad. I was hoping he would cut through the partisan BS and really lead since his presidency was so historic.
