Jamil tweeting about his dad this morning:
My father, who has voted in every election as long as he can remember, tells me his name wasn’t on the rolls this morning. He lives in Ohio.

My dad has lived at the same Cleveland address for 35+ years. Registered, Had his ID. At the correct polling place. Did nothing wrong.

Good news: my father went to the Board of Elections in Cleveland. They had him on the rolls there, and he can now vote at his polling place.

Bad news: my dad, like most people, has to go to work now and make up for time he spent solving this issue. We hope he’ll have time to vote.

My dad is nearing 70, but he’s able-bodied enough to drive, then walk, to the Board of Elections. So many other voters can’t do that.

My dad being absent from the rolls at his polling place may have actually been an honest mistake. But it may cost him his chance to vote.

But there’s no voter suppression going on…
