Apple is the most visible and probably largest manufacturer using Chinese labor. Why not pressure them to improve the worker’s conditions? They have clout.

Because they are already doing more than most. Why not put pressure on China to improve conditions?

BTW, did you happen to read the article about Walmart? I find the first paragraph pretty telling. It clearly shows why I say pressure China, not Apple. Here’s that paragraph:

Wal-Mart’s latest agreement with the Chinese government is proof that if you’re going to do business in China, you’ve got to play by the rules.
