I’m curious to hear how these fuckwits square “The Founders would totally be cool with rebelling against the government they created!” with the Whiskey Rebellion, i.e. that time a bunch of country bumpkins decided they didn’t want to pay no taxes and so took to terrorism and violence against tax collectors until Washington got fed up and called up an army he personally led to bring the whole nonsense to an end.

Or, y’know, the time 11 States tried to secede and start a whole new country. They attacked US military bases, stole the contents of the armories, they even got West Point’s commandant to come lead their army.

The United States government, the president, the congress, the actual US military… did not take this lying down.
