CBS 2 national news just misled all it’s viewers. In a segment about stand your ground they cite GZ as asserting SYG. Ummm, his attorneys have explicitly pointed out SYG does not apply. This based on the inability of a person trapped on their back (allegedly) to escape.

The media just can not be bothered to keep up apparently.

SYG was the cited statute that the police chief used to let Zimmerman go on the night of the shooting. So there is that. Also, as I understand it, a defense hearing on SYG has not yet been decided.
