What are you trying to say here Sharm? That Z photoshopped the Folsom street Fair or something? Well they did. There’s a version with the grosser parts blotted out.

I lived in SF for a few years, Zombie’s not “cherry picking” anything, I saw similar crazy many times while I lived there. You might not agree with Zombie, but “fraudulent” is over the top.

Zombie’s photo essays are not fradululent, but they are selective. They show themes, and they show funny, shocking, and significant things. There are a shitload of ordinary-looking people who show up at anti-war demos with signs that say things like “Troops Out Of Iraq”. These people do not make Zombietime because they are dull.

But if you are going to say that the protest signs from 9/12 that we’ve been seeing are ‘cherry-picked’, then so are Zombie’s. This is not meant as criticism of Zombie, but if you’re gonna say that you can’t judge the DC protesters on the basis of the signs we’ve seen, then you cannot judge the people in SF on the basis of Zombie’s work. End of story.
