Hmmm. Had my first falafel from a street vendor in NYC 40 yrs ago. Being from the south, had no idea what they were. One reason I love NY—lots of different foods!
Want to try this non-fried version, though, since I no longer do fried foods.
I fry my falafel in olive oil (actually I use only olive oil the few times I fry anything).
