There are many here, yet nowhere near as many as up in SF or even LA, from what I’ve heard.
Besides the lack of snow, on thing all California coastal metropolises have in common is a strong sense of transience throughout the population. People come and go here all the time. Where I grew up (not in California) the community was made up of mostly people who had been born locally. Not true in San Diego, where most of the people I have known here were born elsewhere.
So Cal native 55!…… rare breed.
