IMO this is bad advice. Anywhere they have enough power, Republicans will take obviously bad census results at face value to grab more power. E.g., a lefty census boycott could cost CA several House districts in the 2020 reapportionment.

What are they gonna do if 30% of population doesn’t say yes or no? Decide they are illegals? Doing this is the equivalent of the question not being there.
