I am always astonished about the naked jealousy there.

It is really hard to deny the Jewish origins of the Bible. So what is a nutjob to do when he wants to go to the Bible for his authority, but then doesn’t want to be Jewish, or actually hates Jews?

He takes the Bible for his own by turning it into his own myth and then claims his corrections are the “real message, that got perverted by those original Jews.”

It is similar to a guy who hates women (or other men) because he is attracted to them. Damn that women for being so pretty! Damn that gay guy for being so attractive!

This is also, ultimately why there is a mosque on the Temple Mount.
