I mean I understand partisanship, but I didn’t dislike RWers till they started questioning my patriotism because I didn’t agree with some framing chicken-hawks.

And this goes beyond mere right wingers. This is presidential candidate for the Republican Party. Could you imagine the response if a Democratic Party candidate had said that Bush “had no right” to be “leader of the free world” back in 2008? I mean save Kucinich perhaps (who didn’t say anything like that as far as I remember). Romney’s supposed to represent the Republican mainstream. And he says shit like this?
