The only major riot in my lifetime that I still remember vividly was the L.A. Riot. Everything else was before my time.

There was a moderate riot* in Dallas after the 1992 super bowl. Like tears, there can apparently be riots of joy as well as riots of rage. I’m not really well versed in the various riot genre, myself.

*Moderate Riot would be a good band name. Downtempo punk, I guess.
