A few months ago I sold a woman a bike, and she gave me her old bike, saying, ‘Just give me $50 when you sell it.’ It was a low priority, and I finally put it in my workstand this afternoon to clean it up to sell. Five minutes later I got a phone call telling me the woman slipped in the shower last night, hit her head, and died.

How do I get un-weirded-out from that?
