I was expecting a Russian Fifth Column to be in place to disrupt Ukrainian communications, command network, the energy grid and key transportation hubs, making it impossible for them to mounted a concerted or coordinated defense, and leaving the Russian forces to simply move in and occupy their objectives.

I do not know if that failed or if it was ever planned in the first place.

Theory is, it was planned, it was supposedly paid for and arranged, but the accounting was all lies and the money went into various oligarchs or FSB officers’ yachts. That’s why the purge earlier this year.
