That’s just it — Perry’s kind of trouble is worse by several orders of magnitude.

I mean, I’m not a Bush fan, but he at least seemed like a guy who meant well, even if if his policies sucked and he got us bogged down in two wars. Perry is the kind of guy who makes Mitt Romney look sincere. He’s Sarah Palin with some actual political skills.

See, for me this is it: I think Perry would be a pure corporate stooge once elected, which is effectively what Bush was. I think the only difference (again, other than Muslim-bashing) is possibly that Bush was naive and “meant well” whereas Perry is cynical and a sellout. But the end result would be the same - I can’t easily think of policy areas where Perry would have a different take than Bush had.
