Oh, I will say that I believe the first time I heard that name was either on the Rush Limbaugh show or one of the local radio shows that follows his. I remember laughing and thinking how perfect that name was. Immediately I pictured Barry sitting around his tribal campfire, no wait, at his Madrasah school desk … no, no wait … I pictured him out on the beach in Hawaii with Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon around a beach party bond fire playing his coconut bongos and reciting beatnik coffee house poetry while all the little white women in their bikinis looked on wishing they could bang him right there in the sand under Kilauea. Thus, “Obango, Obongo.” I use both with equal disrespect intended, thank you.
