It’s a bit nonsensical to me to not offer paid sick leave. I tend to take the view offered by my company (which can afford to do this because we are very small) - as long as the work is done on time and under budget, who really cares how much time off our employees take in the meantime or for what reason?

Especially for workers in the food industry, it becomes a public health issue.
