The thing of it is, in the course of a career that long, it’s impossible to guarantee you haven’t been fed some bad data. That doesn’t mean that Holt was lying about anything - only that there might be something he reported on that was incorrect and unretracted that UpChuck would claim as a victory. I remember Holt from my growing-up years in the southeast suburbs, and he always struck me as a fairly straightforward and down-to-earth news anchor.
