That’s no forest—it’s simply the “woods”. Like the few acres behind my apt that are surrounded by businesses and houses.

And we need moar roads so people can tear those woods down, too. ////

In reality, there’s more wooded area in the US now than there was in 150 years ago. A lot of it is fragmented, but it had to be grown back where possible.
