Unfortunately for him, in that instance, he’d be screwed: POTUS and VPOTUS are Constitutional offices, and if Pence is impeached, resigns, or gets hit by a meteorite any time before 1/21/21, the VP’s office is *vacant*, until it’s filled by the proper Constitutional procedure. And until then, we’d be only one Big Mac-induced infarction away from President Pelosi…
