Stress

People assume stress in and of itself can trigger detachment and then this kind of behavior, but that is not true.

Most people live under one form of stress or another- often their entire lives.

People who live with health problems, marital problems, money problems, paycheck to paycheck, ad infinitum, live under quite stressful- and ongoing conditions.

They however are the type to go off the deep end, no matter how many years or decades they have been highly stressed.
