OK, but one thing I always wondered, why are many on the right opposed to talking to a former enemy ? What is the down side to diplomacy ? I notice more nuke um, than talk to them threads. We have better relations with Vietnam then with Cuba, and I don’t get it.

I haven’t heard anyone talk about nuking Cuba but maybe one of the factors accounting for our reluctance to normalize is that Cuba was a living example of enforcing the Monroe Doctrine.
