Set a car sales record for July, cleaned out 4-6 weeks of inventory and probably gave us the first monthly retail sales increase in over a year. (numbers out tomorrow.) The stock market is up 50% from it’s lows. and may go higher.

That is wonderful news - it really is. But you and I paid for this. Are you certain all of those people are going to afford those new car loans?

Did cars for clunkers benefit GM and Chrysler? How did Honda and Toyota make out? I’m thinking we just helped nail the lid on GM.
