I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly weak this kind of argument is. The “just be more patient” approach to civil rights is bullshit, and Yoo knows is.

No, Mr. Yoo, the courts exist to enforce the constitution, as well as the law, and to negotiate any conflicts between the two, always ion favor of the constitution, including the equal-protection clause of the 14th amendment.

I expect little more from the man who tried to justify the application of torture by similarly torturing the language of the law. Yoo is a fucking disgrace to the legal profession.
