There’s nothing wrong with that first paragraph. We do have a debt problem. Some people want to make the problem even bigger, unnecessarily, by defaulting. They want to make the problem so big, that they can justify radical actions, like cutting social services without raising taxes.

I find it stunning that the problem is viewed as a CRISIS, yet not so bad that we could raise taxes a little bit.

I don’t have any more to give without having to go on the dole myself. I don’t live in a McMansion, drive a luxury vehicle or take extravagant vacations.

I have no trust that any tax increase will not affect the middle class.
