I hope you are wrong on that. The teabaggers in congress are going to demand the complete dismantling of the health care act as a prelude, and some are talking about extending the debt ceiling on a month to month basis.

They are talking about actually crashing the government. At some point, the Constitutionality of this would have to be questioned. The Constitution was never meant to be a weapon to actually dismantle the government and produce anarchy.

White House’s logic is pretty sound, that invoking the “constitutional solution” would create a crisis in itself because they’d be issuing bonds that Congress would declare are illegal and unconstitutional, which means they’d be treated like plague rats. And if any were sold, Congress would challenge the White House’s authority in the courts and turn the whole thing from a quest into a crusade.
