So, I promised my wife I’d go through the pile of mail I have a habit of dumping on the chair where I set my laptop bag, and finally got to it just now. What did I find? First, two solicitations from different firms about 2300 dollars owed to me by a former employer (for a 10% contingency fee, of course), and my 2009 check from the State of California for my tax return…I’d forgotten about that, so another 888 dollars which comes in handy as I just refilled our propane tank (905 dollars).

Okay…it’s warm out. Friends are having a ‘pool party’ at their house this afternoon. I’ve got a four-pack of Rib-eyes from Costco and a bottle of Balmoral 2000 McLaren Vale Syrah (a very nice Aussie wine if you see it on the shelf, by the way)…Dogs have already been to the beach, so they’ll stay home.

Hope the fireworks have died down…I stopped paying attention a while ago.
