The thing is, Libertarians don’t actually have an answer to that question, so rather than answering it, they ridicule it.

But it IS a cogent question, along with “Who makes sure you don’t buy poison disguised as food?”, or “Who keeps your neighbor from building on your property?”

Libertarians want to live in the world Liberalism created, at no cost to themselves. They want the conveniences that come with such a government without the inconvenience of taxes or following the laws they don’t like. They’re children.
