Total number of women veterans is just under 2 million. Recognizing that the 77,000 only comes from those encountering the VA system screen, it looks quite a bit lower than the 1/7th of cases in the overall population. Suspect the numbers collection at both ends might be bad. (I know from my HQDA work that the suicide data gathering used to suck.)

Military only includes certain age groups —civilian stats would include all age groups.
