The spill in the gulf is potential the worst environmental disaster in American history. If it takes weeks or months to seal the well, the amount of oil released will dwarf the Valdez spill. There is also the possibility that the the volume of oil leaking could increase exponentially and if the pipe breaks completely, 30,000 or more barrels per day of oil could be released.

Oh the gift that keeps on giving :(

Why aren’t these companies regulated to be forced to clean up their messes? If it means seizing their assets, then so be it. Why is Exxon still in operation?
