General James Amos’s latest warning. The head of the Marine Corps told reporters today that a change in the policy could result in casualties. “When your life hangs on the line, you don’t want anything distracting… Mistakes and inattention or distractions cost Marines’ lives.”

This argument makes me wonder if the Marines in question couldn’t be by the same reasoning be plenty distracted right now, wondering who in their unit is gay and hasn’t told.
