This midterm election was always going to be about Obamacare. Perhaps the GOP’s craziness will motivate the Democrats to actually run on its positive aspects.

That’s the thing, this election is not really about the law. Other issues, mostly jobs and the economy, have pretty decisively eclipsed Obamacare as a major issue. But the GOP needs to keep the “IT’S A FAILURE!” meme alive and how better to that than to use the confirmation hearings as a way to go “Well, it’s hurting my constituents, and I think we should repeal it!”
