Not bad for an 11 year old girl ;) She wants to be an engineer when she grows up and tonight she asked me if there were wood engineers. Heh

I hope she sticks to that plan, wood or not. I’ve seen several would-be female engineers her age give up their dreams once middle school social pressures hit. One of my sophomore girls many years ago abandoned her idea to enter the annual bridge building contest at the Speed School of Engineering (Louisville) when her BF told her “it would be too hard.”

Times have changed since the 1980s, though — I hope.
