Pedophilia only applies to prepubescent children. So it could be that, or something else.
“Pedophila” as a psychological condition applies to prepubescent children. It is called “hebophilia” for early teens and “ephebophilia” if the attraction is to late teens.
However, the crime of pedophilia is applied to any person who has illegal sexual contact with a minor, including teens. It doesn’t matter if the victim was 7 or 17, both are still a crime.
