I see your point, but what would be the appropriate phrasing there for someone who has personal beliefs against homosexuality? Would it have been better to say “disagree with that orientation” or perhaps “disagree with that sexual identity”?

They disagree just as strongly (if not more so) with my religion and all its teachings. Every time they go to services, they’re told that I’m going to burn in hell for not adhering to *their* lifestyle. Do they think I shouldn’t have equal rights? Fuck ‘em, they’re bigots.
