My least favorite traditional carol is The First Noel. The words sound like some dithering old biddy came up with them on a rainy afternoon. The song is already repeating itself before it makes it to the end of the first verse. Really rotten poetry in every verse.

The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.
