re: #7 Charles

Will this be part of the new religion I expect him to announce any day?

It’s not a new religion, but a very old one.

Bird augury was an essential part of religion when I was growing up as a young Roman civis. So Beck, praises be to Diu Piter, has dropped his latter-day phony faith for the rites of my ancient fathers.

Respect!

Unfortunately, what he wanted in the context was an eagle alone, or a pair of eagles clutching a lamb, or falling upon a raven, to signify victory.

What he got was a bunch of geese flying over his crowd full of creepy misundereducated troglodyte atavists, probably shitting on some of their baseball caps adorned with “Obama: Go Back to Kenya!” buttons.

And to top it all off, the geese, which Romans used as watchdogs around their camps when they didn’t need to eat them, were flying in the wrong direction.

The video shows them flying north-by-northeast, which is, auguristically, as bad as getting the Tower card in a tarot reading.

Fail, Glenn. You’re going to fail in making America into an image of your saccharine Manichean view of right and wrong.

I’m available for expert consultation, however, should you like to know about real augury. My nick is blue.
