True. I also tend to go for wider heels when I do wear them, since I’m a bit clumsy at times. Comfort is the tricky one, although I tend to avoid them if I plan on standing up too much. But for being out and about? Give me something close to a flat any day!

I don’t get to wear heels that much anymore because my ankles are unstable. If I can get them in a boot, it is better. I tend to wear them more for weddings and business parties in which I have to play “arm candy” for my husband.

I have a couple of very expensive basic black heels that are my stand-by. The cheaper ones I’ve bought end-up in the garbage and are just a waste of money. Better to bite-the-bullet and buy one good pair I can wear for many years than to be in pain and risk my neck in cheaper ones.
