Further undermining their case:

1) Iraq was in original EO, not the second one.
2) Original EO was implemented immediately because of imminent threat, 2d had a delay to allow orderly implementation (undermining intent of original).
3) If purpose was to stop terrorists as they claim, where’s Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan on the list since those four countries not only included 9/11 terrorists (and 1993 WTC bombing) plotters, but gave sanctuary to at different times (Afghanistan/Pakistan).
4) DHS report found that nation of origin is poor indicator of terrorism risk.
5) Refugees are vetted to greater degree than anyone entering on a regular visa, even from a place like Syria.
6) Risk from a refugee engaging in terrorism is still lower than other ordinary risks, including being the victim of a garden variety mass shooting (3+ shot) in the US, which occurs essentially daily.

The people who are most vocal in demanding a Muslim ban are also those least likely to ever have encountered a Muslim, or visited anywhere outside their states, let alone a foreign nation.
