While Congress occasionally gets what we call Votearama, Trumpworld is scandalarama, and we’ve got a shit-ton of them going on at the same time.

Stormy Daniels seems like a small story, until you get news that Trump’s lawyer was the one who paid for her silence. That’s a huge problem for Cohen and Trump. Was it a violation of the Code of Professional Responsibility or a violation of campaign finance law? Well, in either case, this opens the door for Mueller to consider using the crime fraud exception to pierce the attorney client privilege between Trump and Cohen on this matter.

We have already seen Mueller’s investigators use that very tactic elsewhere, and this is a tailor made situation where following the money means asking Trump and Cohen about the money, why it was paid, who paid it, and for what purpose was it paid.

That’s a pretty significant scandal in its own right, but the ongoing shitshow around the Porter domestic violence situation is worse. That has direct consequences for national security because the administration continues lying about how Porter stayed on staff despite the FBI saying he was not entitled to clearance. The admin ignored the FBI judgment and gave him interim clearance.

This puts national security at risk, and this is the same kind of situation with Kushner, who should have been perp walked for lying on multiple submissions of his clearance application.

Everything this administration is doing is undermining national security, and on foreign policy, the direction always seems to favor Russia’s benefit.

So, with all that, the people who knew or had reason to know of Porter’s inability to get clearance are on the hot seat and all they’re doing is lying about their timeline and when they knew - Porter lied about everything, Kelly is lying, McGahn is lying, and Sanders does nothing but lie for Trump.

Oh, and the kicker is that the admin is pointing fingers at others in the WH that dropped the ball. This shouldn’t end well, but thus far all these scandals haven’t dented Trumpworld the way a fraction of the problems would derail any other politician anywhere.
