No - a coverup would be that they know that the guy has definite ties to OWS and are purposefully redacting that from media reports.

What’s more likely - media trying to tie this guy to OWS or saying he’s a lone nutter? Which is more salacious and likely to bring additional eyeballs to media reports? The former.
