Yes, the MSM deserves a lot of blame, but Comey absolutely knew how they’d react to his bullshit stunt. He doesn’t get to talk about how Clinton’s apparent lead in the polling may have impacted his decision making paradigm while conveniently ignoring how the press had behaved throughout the entire election cycle.

Also, as powerful as the corporate press is in shaping public opinion it isn’t the fucking State. The MSM doesn’t take an oath to faithfully execute the laws or uphold and defend the Constitution. Comey made a conscious decision to meddle in the election and hobble one candidate (while keeping secret the open investigation in to Trump & Russia) in direct violation of FBI guidelines.
